Nominations are now open for the 2025-2026 Board of Directors.
We encourage all GMofC members to attend the AGM to:

• Nominate yourself or other suitable candidates for the Board of Directors.
• Support the nominated candidates.
• Learn about the past year’s activities and the financial status of our Mandal.

Your active participation is crucial for the continued success of our community.

Board of Directors: A Call for New Members
We are particularly seeking new members to join our Board of Directors, which comprises four Executives and eight Directors. We encourage female members to step forward and contribute their valuable perspectives.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who:

• Are passionate about GMofC’s mission, goals, and objectives.
• Can bring fresh ideas and perspectives to our organization.
• Are committed to providing the best possible experience for our growing

Gujarati community in Calgary.

Any GMofC member can nominate a candidate for a position with the candidate’s permission. A seconder is also required and must be a member of GMofC.

Important Note: Before nominating, please ensure the candidate:

• Has been a GMofC member for at least 6 months and free of any criminal records. For the position of President, candidate must be a member for at least 1.065 days.
• Has reviewed the Roles and Responsibilities for the position.
• Is fully committed to fulfilling the requirements of the position.
• Is willing to serve in the role if elected.

To nominate a candidate:
1. Complete the form: The Nominee must complete the form before Sunday, March 9th, 2025.
2. Nominator, Nominee and Seconder must be present at the AGM.
